i was looking at just normal money markets...but i think gold also a good area to go into now

otherwise, u just try to see if got any dividend-based unit trusts, got a few i saw that are focused on divideneds. i think got one dbs income fund or something like that.. alternative is you can also invest in individual dividend yielding stocks on your own. but u'll need to do your due research, i.e. check up on the company's website and prospectus to find out how much dividends do they pay etc.

Hi Blitz,

I am also looking at some of the Gold funds for Unit trust.

As for the stock, I am hesitated due to low in budget (less than 5K ).

From my understanding (correct me if I am wrong), stock is not like the unit trusts, where stock you will need to purchase a minimum of 1 lot, which may caused a few Ks, unless buying penny stocks...

yup...but unit trusts have a minimum, usually $1000.
