I thought your datafeed for MetalStock came from technicalanalysis.com.sg? I remember you told me to subscribe from there at $88 !?

Anyway, I have evaluated "SI Station v5.1" for the past five days. I think my trial will end tomorrow and I have already made up my mind to subscribe. This is a very impressive suite of portfolio management tools that I think all trader investors should have.

But for charting, I use both ChartNexus and MetaStock. ChartNexus is very convenience but MetaStock has "Expert Adviser" which is very cool.

hehe, ya, they are indeed the same

I did visit the website of NextView but it appears to be much more expensive than SI Station. Have you evaluated both? Maybe I should try out NextView before I decide on SI Station. But really, just based on SI Station alone, I am very satisfy !!

yea the data feed from technicalanalysis is SGD$88. But i am new to amibroker, and still find inconvience compare with chartnexus which is the updating of data. For chartnexus, once you launch the program it will auto download for you, but for amibroker i need to update the meta data and than update on amibroker which i had download it over my computer.

Hi trainfit,
You must have attended the course at terraseeds, have you? I know they advocate the use of Amibroker. By the way, how is the course? Did you attend the paper & pencil for novice or MACD or Stochastic?
Ya, ChartNexus is great in terms of having the integrated data downloader. The Anaylst DataServer from technicalanalysis.com is somewhat cumbersome and slow.

yes bro u r right, i went for P&P and also MACD. i should said they are good because they give lots of example of TA thing, but of cos i still needs lots of practice for that, attending their course is to make myself understanding.

Hi 56mimosa,

I am a newbie to charting software and like to clarify on the following:

1) For Metasoft, do we purchase the software and the datafeed separately?

2) Is the software a one-time cost and the datafeed is a monthly recurring subscription cost? How much do they cost individually?

3) How does the software and the datafeed work together?

4) Where can we purchase Metastock and the datafeed? From local brokerages e.g. Kim Eng, OCBC?
