Sembcorp Marine buzzes on winning a $640m contract

Rig-builder Sembcorp Marine jumped as much as 3.5 percent to hit a one-week high on news that its Jurong shipyard unit had won a $640 million contract to build a deepwater rig. Sembcorp Marine's management also said that it will build a deepwater semi-submersible drilling rig for Larsen Oil & Gas .

In a research note, Goldman Sachs expected the contract brings Sembcorp Marine's new order wins to S$2.7 billion so far this year.

This news is definitely positive for Sembcorp
