F&N management told that the organisational structure could soon set the stage for a split in the conglomerate's core business. The firm would have now have different chief executives for its three main businesses -
1. Food and beverage
2. Property
3. Printing and publishing
Division of business into three categories would help in a better estimation of profitibility of each sub-business.

Keppel Corp, the world's largest offshore rig builder, announced that it has entered into a joint venture agreement with China-based Tianjin Eco-City Investment and Development to develop an eco-city in Tianjin, China.
