SGX expect business momentum to slow post year-end festive season, affected by the worsening of the global economic conditions and lack of major software launches. The gaming sector will continue to be an important segment for Datapulse in the near term, driven largely by Microsoft’s Xbox-related gaming software business. With a much bigger installed base for X-box game consoles, spurred partly by Microsoft’s aggressive price reduction, the group is starting to see more orders from Microsoft as well as second- and third-party software customers. Datapulse is also doing more bundling of accessories for Microsoft, whereby the latter consigns accessories such as guitars, drums and microphones.
