Correlation between markets

Hi all,

I am new to this forum and was wondering if there is some correlation between Singapore stock market and markets to the West, let's say Russian market. Any links to fundy studies? Your help would be appreciated. I would like to do some investments in 2008 but to diversify among global emerging markets only - Singapore, India, Russia. I noticed recently that subprime frenzy was felt differently across these markets.
How about buying F&N - I was looking at this thread. In Russia, I will look for energy and aircraft companies (some info on this website http://www.investrusska.com).
