I think there may be many people interested in trading the market and making a living out of trading it. Having traded the markets for many years, I would say it is extremely difficult. These few days I let people have an insight into my playbook and every move I made in the market. You can go through each move for yourself to see how it is done.
There is no easy method like technical analysis or fundamental analysis, I doubt you can go and attend a 3 day course or 3 month course and learn to do it. ...otherwise everyone can trade don't need to go to school!

Perhaps to help people out, the way I do it is like this. Most of the time I'm reading and reading articles + analysis everyday I read hundreds of articles on companies, markets, recommendations, views etc, and then I contact various traders I know and try to get a 'sensing' of the market and what people are doing. Then I trace back to how and why the markets move the way they did the day before. After that I synthesize all the information and look for a historical match of the same situation ...and how the market behaved. After all that, I may or may not come out with a play on the market. In recent days, it was actually quite straight forward because there is alot of psychology involved and when the market move as a crowd, it is most predictable. There are periods where the market is probably efficient and moves in a random unpredictable manner during those periods I check for persistent trends and factors sustaining the trends and just trade accordingly.

...I'll answer any questions for anyone interested in the topic. Just continue here. I'm going shopping so I'll come back in the evening to answer...
